It Is a World Ruled by

Mad Science!

If there's one thing people say about you, it's that you're a VERY STABLE GENIUS. They say this while sweating and trying to ignore the cold barrel at the back of their neck.

The world is beautiful. There is so much to discover and so much to create. And sometimes it's so, so easy to... to just... TAKE WHAT YOU WANT!

But there's gotta be some reason to hold back, right? Right? At the very least, we can't have all of civilization crashing down around us. How the hell would we get funding then?

How to Play?

idk I haven't played this, it's just a creative writing project.

Do it like Thirsty Sword Lesbians or Monsterhearts but kinda different.

The essential PBTA format is that you have your PCs pursue goals and then the Moves trigger complications upon them. That's great for us because Mad Scientists already have big goals and do not even need a bad guy to oppose. If villains act and heroes react, then call us villains...

The key is to make a pool of themes and ideas beforehand, and then you'll have really good ideas during play.

I like the idea of not using a GM, and everyone just shares the job. That's not Mad Science-themed, that's just me.

I like the idea of calling these Palettes instead of Playbooks cause there's no need to keep your character within one of these tropes.

I see the Palette special features and Moves as optional mechanics that are always unlocked and can potentially be for anyone at any time, if it seems right.
